Ken Allen Digital continues the dedication of Ken Allen Studios in its commitment to fine art and large-format display printing. We not only print contemporary color photographs, but also historic images, creating fine exhibition prints for curators and fine art photographers. When the original print is unavailable, damaged, or too delicate for exhibition, we can digitally reproduce the print with an astonishing degree of accuracy. All images are edited and color-corrected to create the best prints for your exhibition.
With the UltraChrome K3 inksets that have become available since 2005, pigmented ink printing is now the format that provides the best light-fastness and overall archival stability (see our paper on Digital Fine Art Printing). With pigmented ink printing, there are more support options and a wider color gamut than any other form of digital printing. These prints surpass other digital formats in image quality, sharpness, color saturation, and neutrality. Some images look best when printed on a specific paper, others respond beautifully with many different papers and fabrics.
In addition to archival, fine art photographic papers, we also print on specialty supports. We work with curators and exhibition designers on large-format display printing so your display prints have the impact and precision to help you define the look of your exhibition. Satin Cloth, Adhesive Removable Wall Graphics, and Tyvek® are just a few of the supports available. There is a wide range of materials that are constantly being developed and upgraded. They can be 100% recyclable, have adhesive backs, and be removed and reapplied to various surfaces. These supports work well for indoor and outdoor uses and can be easily rolled and unrolled for storage and display. We will work with you to select the best materials for your exhibition needs.
Ken Allen uses both Epson and Canon wide format printers including the Epson Stylus Pro 9900.
